Incentives Through the ADU Boost Pilot Program

Residents of Brunswick, Bath, and Rockland may now qualify for financing and grant assistance through the ADU Boost Pilot Program, launched by the Midcoast Council of Governments (MCOG) in partnership with Bangor Savings Bank.

Eligible homeowners can access:


  • Fixed-rate financing (with or without refinancing your existing mortgage)
  • Up to $10,000 in grant funding (10% of qualified project costs)
  • Start-to-finish support from third-party specialists including cost reviews and inspections


To qualify, projects must meet certain criteria such as a minimum cost of $50,000 and adherence to long-term rental use (no short-term rentals). Income limits also apply.

Grant funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
